About FedJobReady
Why FedJobReady exists
Most federal job applicants are qualified for the jobs they are applying to. They get screened out because their applications do not answer the merit criteria in a way the screening board can quickly assess.
Federal staffing is a structured system. It assesses specific qualifications against specific evidence, in a format that is different from most private-sector resumes and cover letters. That creates a translation problem, and FedJobReady exists to help with that translation.
How FedJobReady understands federal hiring
FedJobReady is built from public Government of Canada hiring language, archived public competency materials, Statement of Merit Criteria patterns, screening question formats, behavioural competency frameworks, and public staffing outcome analysis. It does not use confidential government data. It turns public information about how federal hiring works into a practical system for applicants.
FedJobReady does not just generate text. It helps you match your real experience to the level of the position, the meaning of the qualification, and what the screening board needs to see.

What we do and don't do
We rewrite, structure, and score your real experience against specific job postings. We identify gaps where your evidence does not yet support a qualification and show you where your application needs more support. Our tools produce cover letters, resumes, and screening question responses that speak the language of GC merit criteria and are scored against the posting, not against general career advice.
We do not invent experience, fabricate qualifications, or coach users to misrepresent themselves. Our tools are only as honest as the source material you provide. We rewrite. We don't invent.
This is a tool, not a guarantee. A well-written application that answers the merit criteria clearly is a necessary condition for getting screened in. It is not a sufficient one. The screening board, the competition, and your qualifications against those of other applicants are not variables we control.
Who built this
Standard application advice does not work well for the federal public service. A polished resume, a strong cover letter, and a confident tone still do not map neatly to how federal screening works. Federal staffing is governed by legislation, Treasury Board policy, and PSC directives that create an assessment framework most applicants have never had to learn. FedJobReady exists because that framework was researched closely, from the law and policy to the guidance and public materials, then turned into tools that help translate your real experience into the format the board is looking for. You bring the experience. We help with the translation.
